Florence Hyatt is a mother of six and a former emergency medical technician (EMT) who dedicated her career to helping others during their times of greatest need. After surviving a violent assault by a patient while on duty, she developed post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), an experience that profoundly changed her life.
Drawing from her personal journey of healing, Florence is passionate about raising awareness of PTSD and helping children and families understand the challenges that can come with trauma. Through her writing, she hopes to foster compassion, understanding, and resilience while reminding readers that they are never alone.
Florence lives in South Carolina with her family and her beloved service dog, Zara, who has been a constant source of comfort and support throughout her recovery.
